Nella Andem-Ewa Rabana, SAN, FCI-Arb is the principal partner of Lexglobal Partners, Legal Practitioners, a renowned legal practice and consultancy service firm based in Calabar and Abuja.
Nella has been at the very top of the legal profession in a variety of capacities, with over 30 years’ experience. With a dynamic experience and understanding of both the public and private sectors, she has created an innovative and robust legal practice with core competencies in litigation, commercial law and qualitative legal advisory support to multinationals, local businesses/organizations and government(s), especially in the oil and gas, energy and housing sectors. Nella also consults on interstate and international boundary matters.
Nella was the Attorney-General of Cross River State from 1999-2003 and during her tenure, became the first African female to address the International Court of Justice as counsel. She was elevated to the Rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria in 2009 and was appointed a Life Bencher of the Body of Benchers in 2017.
Nella is a Chartered Fellow of the Institute of Arbitration and a member of the Energy Institute, UK.
She is also a National Executive Committee member of the Nigerian Bar Association and a member of the Disciplinary Committee of the Body of Benchers.
Nella is a the Chairperson of the Advisory Board of the Electoral College and a member of the legal committee of the National Council on Privatization (NCP) and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, Manufacturers and Commerce (RSA), UK.
She ran as Deputy Gubernatorial candidate in Cross River State, 2015.
Nella is a regular speaker on various local and international platforms where she addresses issues on legal reform and advocates for positive social change.
She serves as the Executive Chairperson of the Electoral College Nigeria, Board of Trustees
